Session 1 of the Southeast Division on the National Circuit kicked off in a major way with the Who’s Next Tournament, delivering everything we hoped for and more in our first regional stop. The event provided a strong evaluation setting for several established national programs while also giving emerging teams and players their first opportunity to shine on a national stage. The level of competition and depth of talent on display reinforced why the Southeast continues to be one of the strongest regions in the country, and it set an exciting foundation for what’s ahead this season.

One of the most physically imposing teams in attendance was 2030 Nightrydas, an impressive group built around elite size and length. Six of their eight players stand between 6’4 and 6’8, allowing them to play fast, aggressive, and physical on both ends of the floor. Their ability to overwhelm opponents with pace and size stood out all weekend, and when they are shooting the ball at a high level, they are extremely difficult to beat. This is a team opponents would rather see early in the season than later, as their chemistry and execution continue to grow.

The Daily Grind program also made a strong statement, proving they can compete at a national level. Both their sixth-grade and seventh-grade teams advanced to championship games in their respective divisions, highlighting the program’s depth and consistency. They traveled well, competed with confidence, and showed a level of toughness that translates in high-level environments. This is a program that continues to trend upward and will be fun to follow as they build momentum.

Championship success followed 2031 Florida Soldiers, who captured the seventh-grade title behind the high-level play of their two guards. The backcourt consistently controlled the game on both ends of the floor, combining intensity, pace, and strong basketball IQ to set the tone throughout the weekend. Their ability to manage games and make winning plays stood out, and this group’s continued growth will be worth tracking as the season progresses.

Another championship-caliber performance came from 2032 Lead By Example, who established themselves as a team to beat in South Florida and a group capable of competing nationally. Their championship run was backed by strong coaching, discipline, and a talented roster that executed at a high level throughout the event. They were one of the most impressive teams in their class and showed the consistency needed to win at this level.

The 2033 Born Stars delivered one of the strongest statements of the weekend, establishing themselves as a national power in their class. A series of dominant performances led to a hard-earned championship victory over a strong local national program. Their blend of talent, toughness, and competitive mentality stood out, proving they have the grit and mindset required to be among the top teams nationally.

Rounding out the weekend was 2033 Tre Mann Elite, who reminded everyone why they remain one of the premier programs in the country. When shooting the ball at their full capability, they are capable of beating anyone. Their aggressive style of play, paired with a high basketball IQ, makes them difficult to prepare for and consistently entertaining to watch. This will be one of the top teams in the country this season and a group that will be very hard to beat.

Session 1 of the Southeast National Circuit delivered high-level competition, emerging storylines, and a clear look at the depth of talent in the region. If this opening stop was any indication, the Southeast is poised for a standout season on the national stage.
