EVENT COVERAGE

The Soul of Music Invitational, in partnership with One Movement, provided a valuable opportunity to get an updated look at some of the premier programs in the country across multiple age groups. The event also gave us the chance to evaluate several new teams and players we had not yet covered, adding even more depth to an already competitive weekend.

Below is a deeper dive into the programs that made the strongest impressions and the impact they had throughout the weekend.

Brad Beal Elite Continues to Set the Standard

The Brad Beal Elite program had a strong showing, highlighted by the performance of 2032 Brad Beal Elite Nashville, which led the way for the organization. This group features a dynamic combination of skilled guards paired with a high-level big, forming a strong core foundation.

Their balance of perimeter creation and interior presence makes them extremely difficult to match up with. They can stretch the floor, attack off the bounce, and control the paint — a combination that allows them to compete nationally with anyone in the country. As they continue to grow and develop together, their ceiling remains incredibly high.

2031 Brad Beal Elite Arkansas also delivered a solid performance. They showcased an athletic roster with good size and versatility, proving they have the tools necessary to compete at a high level. With continued cohesion and development, they have the potential to emerge as a serious contender within the 2031 class.

2032 Remy Run Select Brings Energy and Pace

2032 Remy Run Select made a strong impression in our first evaluation of the group. They play hard, they play fast, and they consistently bring energy on both ends of the floor.

Their high-level guard play stood out throughout the weekend. They controlled tempo, created opportunities, and kept their team competitive in every matchup. In the open floor, they were especially exciting to watch. As their chemistry continues to develop, this is a group with the potential to compete nationally with anyone.

ISD Elite 2034 Captures the Championship

ISD Elite 2034 delivered one of the most impressive performances of the weekend, capturing the championship in their class and firmly establishing themselves as a national-level group to watch.

They are powered by a high-level combination of guards that are extremely difficult to contain offensively. Their ability to break down defenses, attack gaps, and create consistent scoring pressure puts opponents on their heels.

What separates them is their balance. They share the ball, keep teammates involved, and still have the ability to take over when needed. That blend of unselfishness and shot-making makes them especially dangerous moving forward. ISD Elite 2034 is poised to make serious noise nationally as their journey continues.

2035 Memphis Kings Set the Tone with Toughness

It was our first opportunity to evaluate 2035 Memphis Kings, and they wasted no time making an impression. This is a tough, athletic, hard-nosed group that competes from start to finish.

Their aggressive guards set the tone, constantly attacking offensively while applying relentless pressure defensively. They force turnovers, disrupt rhythm, and overwhelm teams with their intensity.

What stands out most is their togetherness. They play hard, they play connected, and they never let up. That identity gives them a strong foundation as they continue to grow and develop within their class.

2033 We R 1 Premier Shows Strong Potential

2033 We R 1 Premier is an intriguing group in their class and one we evaluated for the first time this weekend. They showed clear potential to become a strong force within the 2033 division.

Their guard play immediately stood out — aggressive, confident, and capable of setting the tone on both ends. Defensively, they use their athleticism to pressure opposing offenses and create disruption. Offensively, they attack gaps, move the ball effectively, and compete together as a unit.

As they continue building chemistry and fully mesh as a team, they have the tools to make a significant impact. Their development will be one to follow closely.

Final Thoughts

The Soul of Music Invitational once again showcased why events like this matter in the grassroots landscape. Across multiple age groups, elite programs displayed talent, structure, competitiveness, and long-term potential.

From championship performances to emerging contenders, the weekend provided a clear look at programs that are not only competing at a high level now — but are building toward sustained national impact in the years ahead.
